EDC Lobby Day, September 14

Eating Disorder Memorial Quilts

The Eating Disorders Coalition is now collecting panels for two memorial quilts.  One will be dedicated to the memory of all people who have died from an eating disorder.  This quilt will be displayed at EDC events, such as EDC Lobby Days & Congressional Briefings.

The other quilt, in cooperation with the Lifekeeper Foundation, will remember people with eating disorders who died from suicide.  In addition to EDC events, this quilt will be displayed in Washington at the National Suicide Awareness Event sponsored by the Suicide Prevention Action Network (SPAN).

There is no charge for adding a block to either quilt, though donations are welcome.

DEADLINE: August 15, 2006

Please try to send us your blocks by August 15, 2006.  We cannot guarantee that blocks received after that date will be included in displays at this year’s National Suicide Awareness Event  (September 9) or the EDC Lobby Day and Congressional Briefing (September 14).

We can add other blocks for future events.  Both quilts will be ongoing projects.
