Trains

Amtrak serves Washington's Union Station, a short walk from the Holiday Inn on The Hill. If you are traveling from the eastern United States, consider using Amtrak.

Amtrak trains also serve Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI). Metroliner trains (daily, $35 one-way).

metro opens doors

Metro (Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority) provides MetroRail ("subway") and MetroBus service. The Holiday Inn on The Hill is on the MetroRail RED line, between Judiciary Square and Union Station. If you don't know the area, use the more popular Union Station. The conference hotel is a short walk from either Metro station.

MARC Trains

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) offers inexpensive ($9 one way) commuter train serve between Union Station in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore's BWI Airport. Monday through Friday only.

Automobiles & Parking


Automobile traffic in Washington, D.C. is among the worst in the nation. You are encouraged to use trains, shuttles, taxis, or carpools. If you drive, hotel parking is usually available.
