These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.eatingdisorderscoalition.org (the “Site”), which is operated by the Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy & Action (“Eating Disorders Coalition,” “EDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Website Disclaimer. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site.
1. Eligibility and Use of the Site
The Site is intended for individuals who are at least 13 years of age. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years of age or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Changes to the Site and These Terms
We may update or modify the Site, its content, and these Terms from time to time in our sole discretion. When we make changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and all content and materials on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, videos, audio, publications, and other materials (collectively, the “Content”) are owned by or licensed to the Eating Disorders Coalition and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site and to download or print a reasonable number of copies of Content for your personal, non commercial, informational, educational, or advocacy purposes only.
You must not:

- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use any Content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent
- Claim ownership of Content or present it as your own original work
All trademarks, service marks, and logos displayed on the Site are the property of the Eating Disorders Coalition or their respective owners. Nothing on the Site grants any license or right to use any trademark without prior written permission.
4. User Submissions and Communications
The Site may allow you to submit information, such as when you:
- Complete forms for membership, contact, or inquiries
- Register for events or advocacy activities
- Participate in campaigns that contact legislators or policymakers

- You have the right to submit the information
- Your User Submissions are accurate and not misleading
- Your User Submissions do not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party
You retain any rights you may hold in your User Submissions, but you grant the Eating Disorders Coalition a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your User Submissions for the purposes for which they were provided. For example, this includes processing your registrations, managing events, sending requested communications, and contacting legislators at your direction.
You should not submit any confidential or sensitive information through the Site, including detailed medical history or information that you would not want to be used in the ways described above.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Site in any way that:
- Violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
- Infringes the rights of others, including privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights
- Is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable

The Site may contain links to third party websites, resources, or services for your convenience and information. These links do not constitute an endorsement by the Eating Disorders Coalition and we are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third party sites.
Your use of third party websites or services is at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of those third parties.
8. Disclaimers
Your use of the Site is at your sole risk. The Site and all Content and services available through the Site are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Eating Disorders Coalition disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be secure, available at any particular time or location, error free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will the Eating Disorders Coalition, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site
- Any Content, information, services, or materials provided through the Site
- Any action you take or fail to take based on information obtained from the Site
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Termination
We may, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive will survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity obligations.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable from these Terms and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Website Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Eating Disorders Coalition regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, or communications, whether written or oral, related to the Site.
